The Nickelodeon School Partnership Program provides educators with complimentary access to resources that help make learning more accessible, fun and innovative. To ensure that Nickelodeon is helping to meet the unique needs of your students, we are looking to create long-term relationships and facilitate open conversations.

These programs are sorted into subject matter and by grade level for ease. Use at your discretion for your class and community.

NICK BOOK CLUB

Subject: Reading

The Nick Book Club provides complimentary Nickelodeon titles, including coloring books, to Nickelodeon School Partnership Program schools who opt in. Book allotments are shipped twice per school year (contingent on time of enrollment) and are addressed to the school’s main contact. Enrollment is per school vs individual classrooms. The Club will remain active while quantities are available.

Talking to Kids about Difficult Events

Natural disasters can leave kids feeling scared and uncertain. Here are some resources, from Nickelodeon Our World and our partners, that will help you navigate conversations about natural disasters with your kids and ways to support the people and places in Los Angeles impacted by the wildfires.

Our World is a global campaign that empowers kids to activate their individual and collective agency, using the power of Nickelodeon and a coalition of partners. Our World helps kids realize and harness their agency by upskilling with training, uplifting with platforms and storytelling, and empowering with grants and thought leadership.

MEDIA LITERACY

Families today are navigating the most complex media landscape that has ever existed. They are swimming in media content including a relentless news cycle. There are rising concerns about the impact all this is having on mental health and the ability to discern credibility. This guide is intended to help families maneuver the unending flow of media content they experience every day.

Engage your students with the Thundermans-themed Science and STEM word search and character guide.

SpongeBob Art & Wellness Guide

Subject: STEAM, Art Therapy, SEL

In partnership with P.S. ARTS, the SpongeBob Art & Wellness guide supports educators in facilitating creative projects that support social emotional learning and academic growth. It leverages the expertise of Nick Community Efforts (NiCE) and provides background, creativity prompts, and step-by-step instructions for creative projects inspired by SpongeBob and Bikini Bottom.

Talking to Kids about Gun Violence

After being impacted by gun violence, many parents and educators struggle with how to best talk to children, help them feel safe, and support them during the healing process. Nickelodeon Public Affairs has produced a Tip Sheet offering guidance and resources from key experts.

AUTISM ACCEPTANCE

Together with the Autism Society of America, Nickelodeon is celebrating Autism acceptance. In this guide for educators and families, you will find extensive kid-friendly activities and resources that advocate for, connect, and empower members of the Autism community. It includes: a children’s book list, calming strategies, sensory bag activity, tips on inclusivity and breaking the cycle of bullying, just to name a few.?

Bullying Prevention Month

Nickelodeon wants everyone to be proud of who they are. To help all kids feel seen, heard, and respected, Nick supports families in speaking out and taking action against bullying. Included in these resources are meaningful actions families can take together to strengthen their sense of identity and belonging, and prevent bullying.

MENTAL HEALTH & BLACK FAMILIES

Nickelodeon supports Black History Month with a campaign that ladders up into this year's national theme: Black Health & Wellness. Both Nick and Nick Jr. celebrate this important and evergreen theme by driving a positive call to action to prioritize mental well-being, and destigmatize mental health in the Black community. This section provides comprehensive resources and short videos highlighting health and wellness tips that are useful year-round.

FOOTBALL FUN FROM NICKELODEON

Score a touchdown with your students using these exciting resources from Nick! Start with a trifold playbook that combines math, spelling, and drawing activities with football. And in partnership with GoNoodle, Nick has created a football-themed activity sheet focused on grammar and conduct.

VISION BOARD FOR AMERICA

What is your students' dream for America? What inspires them? What do they want to change? Hang the poster and use the PowerPoint template, Google Sheets template or worksheet to have them work on their presentation skills to spark a conversation about the future of our nation.

Beyond the Backpack

Getting ready for school requires more than a backpack full of supplies. Beyond the Backpack promotes overall kindergarten readiness for preschoolers offering parents and caregivers with tips, activities, and resources focused on five major areas critical to educational success: Family Engagement, Health & Wellness, Literacy Skills, Social & Emotional Skills, and STEAM Skills.

Nickelodeon’s NFL Slimetime has produced a series of Fun Football Facts videos to share with your students and increase their understanding of the game.

SCIENCE OF SPONGEBOB

In partnership with the Ocean Conservancy, The Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County and Nickelodeon invite kids and families to explore the species that inspired many of the show’s popular characters.

WARPED MADLIBS

Based on Nickelodeon's show WARPED!, use these madlibs to increase your students grammar skills. Then, check out the live action show on Thursdays at 7:30pm, where the improbable pair of Milo and Ruby set out to do the impossible: create the greatest comic book ever seen!

The Save The Music Foundation (STM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps students, schools, and communities reach their full potential through the power of making music. It was originally founded as a public affairs initiative by VH1, a sister brand of Nickelodeon. Big Heart World

Subject: Social Emotional Learning

Big Heart World is an initiative produced by Sparkler that enables parents and educators to help children develop SEL skills ("heart" skills). Kids will explore what it means to have a "big heart" and how to grow one by learning about the self, others/empathy, and interpersonal relationships. Educators will find excellent content for use with students in the classroom. A downloadable guide for educators (toward bottom of website) rolls-out every month with a different key theme. Music, podcast for kids, play activities, book lists, parent guide and more are also available.

WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH: GUIDE TO GIRL EMPOWERMENT
